Welcome to www.LancasterFD.net

Welcome to the official website of the Lancaster, MA Fire, Rescue, & EMS Department. The department has been proudly providing fire suppression, rescue, and fire prevention services for the Town of Lancaster since 1848.  Lancaster was the first town to be incorporated in Worcester County, MA in 1653.  Today, Lancaster is comprised of some 7,500 residents and covers an area of about 28 square miles.  The department is made up of two full-time Firefighter/EMTs, 30 On-Call Firefighters, & 10 On-Call Emergency Medical Technicians.  The department operates out of Two Stations: Center Station (HQ) located at 1055 Main Street, and South Station located at 283 South Main Street.  This website is designed to provide information about the services that the department provides.  The site is made possible by the Town of Lancaster, MA and the Lancaster Firefighter's Association.

ATTENTION LANCASTER RESIDENTS
ATTENTION LANCASTER RESIDENTS: Just in time for the holiday season, the Lancaster Firefighters Association will be hosting a Family Photo Portraits Fundraiser with services provided by Lanes Portraits (www.lanesportraits.com). Lancaster residents will receive a letter in the mail with a donation voucher. If you mail in your voucher with a donation of $25.00, you will get a free family portrait session with Lanes Portraits and a free 8x10 portrait per family. Photo sessions will be held at the Lancaster Fire Station at 1055 Main Street on November 18th & 19th. Viewing for photo proofs will held at the fire station on November 25th & 26th. All mailed-in donations will benefit the Town of Lancaster as this money will be used by the Fire Association to help purchase a Lucas 3 Chest Compression System that will be used by Lancaster First Responders. This is a great fundraiser for an even greater cause. For questions call (978) 368-4003.

Lancaster Fire In the News!!!
The Lancaster Fire Department was recently interviewed by Fox 25 news in Boston for Firehouse Fridays sponsored by Dunkin Donuts.  Click on the image to the left to see the news clip and hear some very important messages from Chief Michael Hanson and Captain Courtney Manning regarding the importance of Smoke and CO Detectors in your home.

The Town of Lancaster has a new emergency notification system (also known as Reverse 911).  This system allows Lancaster residents to receive neighborhood specific emergency notifications issued by the town's public safety agencies.  These can be sent to you by phone, e-mail and/or text message, all of which can be set up by you through an easy-to-use web page.  To enroll in this free service offered by the Town of Lancaster, go to the CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment web page by clicking on the icon above and submitting the requested information.  This data is held securely and is used only for the purpose of emergency notifications.

Lancaster Firefighters Association Supports the MDA
On December 13th the Lancaster Firefighters Association presented a check to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the amount of $2,000.00.  This money was collected during the Association's annual MDA Boot Drive in October.  The MDA is a non-profit organization that raises money for children and adults who are impacted by muscular dystrophy, ALS or other muscle-debilitating diseases.  This money helps to support these families and  also helps to fund the research for a cure for these diseases. The Association would like to thank the community for their generous donations during our Boot Drive.
